The Art of Inner Peace
The test of literature is whether we ourselves
live more intensely after we read it.
Elizabeth Drew

I read this quote when I first starting writing my thoughts, wisdom, and philosophy. At the time, I was simply writing and compiling my thoughts and wisdom for my sons and myself. Being a bestselling author never even crossed my mind, even in my wildest dreams. But each time I would come back to my writings, I thought they needed to be shared.

Now, 15 years later, my 16th book, The Art of Inner Peace, was just published, and I have received thousands of emails, letters, etc. from all over the world thanking me for my writings and telling me how my books have changed their lives. To me, THAT means more than the book awards and accolades. I could have never even imagined this all those years ago when I first told my wife that I was going to write a book and send it to a few publishers.

I have been through a lot of personal challenges over the last five years that most of my readers did not know about. I have dealt with many personal attacks, seven surgeries including brain surgery for a brain tumor, a bad car wreck, family challenges, and deaths of friends and family. And the stress of all of these things mounted up over those years. I knew I had a choice; I could either allow all of these things to continue to stress me out and defeat me, or I could declare victory of these challenges and use them to get myself back on track and to help other people with what I had learned. I chose the latter.

That is where my new book, The Art of Inner Peace, originated. If there is one thing that appears to be a struggle for most people today, it is developing and maintaining inner peace in their daily lives. It was a challenge for me during those years, and from what I am seeing, it is a challenge for many people today, as we are living in precarious times.

To my surprise, most people who have read The Art of Inner Peace have called it my best book ever. It has been called “a masterpiece,” “life-changing, motivational, and inspirational,” “a work of genius,” and “outstanding.” I am honored by these kind words, but the real test of any book is whether or not those who read it live a better, more satisfying life after having read it. The true test of any book is whether or not the wisdom it contains changes people’s lives for the better. And that is my goal with The Art of Inner Peace.
