Crow on the back of an eagle
Crows trying to Harass a Great Eagle

The only bird that will peck at an eagle is the crow. The crow sits on the back of the eagle and will even try to bite its neck on occasion. The eagle, being superior to the crow, does not respond or fight with the crow, as it is not worth the eagle’s time or effort. The eagle doesn’t waste its time or energy on the crow. It simply continues to rise higher and higher, making it hard for the crow to breathe, as the crow is unfit for such heights. Eventually, the crow falls because it cannot handle the heights which the eagle is accustomed to and will rise to.

Be like the eagle and stop wasting your time with the human crows who try to harass you in life. They are not worth your time or effort. They are below you and they know it. They are simply trying to hitch a ride on your back to reach heights which they know they can neither reach nor handle on their own.

Don’t allow the haters and trolls in life to bother you. They desperately want to get a reaction from you. Don’t give it to them! And even if you do decide to respond, don’t respond in the way they are hoping for; never reward their bad behavior with the very thing they are hoping for. Be above them and baffle them with your indifference to their uncouth behavior.

Remember the wisdom of Baltasar Gracian, “The man of principle never forgets who he is because of what others are.” Remember who you are and how you want to live your life, and never allow the opinions of others, nor the ravings of haters or trolls, to sidetrack you.

Just stay on your path, ignore them, and keep rising higher and higher, leaving them down below where they, according to their behavior, apparently belong. Don’t give them your time or attention. Take the high road while they stubble along in the mud of the low road of their choosing. Focus your attention on your own improvement, life, and goals and keep rising higher and higher.
