Our thoughts are much more powerful than we realize. Your thoughts affect your happiness, your outlook on life, your hormone balance, your motivation, and your health, not to mention the fact that your thoughts are energy, and it has been proven that focused thought can actually attract certain things into your life. This is just a very short summary of the power of your thoughts.
Understanding this, it is easy to see that what you think about yourself is of the utmost importance. You have to keep a close watch on your thoughts. Never entertain negative thoughts about yourself. Even if you have made mistakes, don’t run yourself down. Learn from them, forgive yourself, if needed, and move on. But don’t continue to beat yourself up over it. A mistake is nothing more than a learning experience, as long as you learn from it.
Other people’s thoughts don’t affect you; they affect them. Your thoughts, what you think, and what truly believe about yourself, are what really matter. Other people don’t really know the truth about you. They don’t know what is truly inside of you. Their thoughts about you are nothing more than their opinions, and 99% of them are uninformed opinions, which are completely worthless.
Your thoughts about yourself, on the other hand, are of utmost importance. They affect your self-esteem, your self-confidence, and your self-worth. They affect your martial arts, your ability to de-escalate a dangerous situation, and they affect how other people see you. They directly affect your life and what path you take in life.
Make sure that your thoughts are building you up, not tearing you down. Make sure that they are based on the truth, not temporary feelings or emotions. Make sure your thoughts are building your self-confidence. You must have confidence in yourself and your martial arts skills. Low self-esteem and self-confidence can make you a target for predators, as it affects the energy that you give off. You want to project a sense of confidence in yourself and your skills. Your thoughts ultimately control your world, make sure you manifest the person you want to be and the kind of life you want to live.
